Hebrews 13:4-5 – The importance of honoring marriage and keeping the marriage bed pure.
Sunday Main Service By Rev. Onesmas – Giving
On the 12th of May 2024, Molo Revival Church, a part of Open Door International, had the honor of hosting Reverend Onesmas Kibiru, the Founder of Open Door International. Reverend Onesmas began the Sunday service by acknowledging and thanking the church leaders for their dedication and wonderful work in church and the community at large. During the service, Reverend Onesmas introduced a new and exciting initiative—a computer class aimed at empowering the community. He demonstrated the laptops that will be used for learning and introduced Mr. Peter Muriithi, who will be tutoring the computer students. This initiative is part of Open Door International’s commitment to providing educational opportunities and enhancing digital literacy within the community.
Reverend Onesmas delivered a powerful sermon on the theme of Giving, inspired by Genesis 8:22. He emphasized the importance of understanding the seasons of life and acting accordingly. Reverend Onesmas highlighted that giving is not limited to money but also includes time and effort. He reinforced his message with additional Bible verses, including Luke 21:1-4 and 2 Corinthians 8:1-7, encouraging the congregation to be generous in all aspects of their lives.
Family as God Intended: Couples Conference Led by Reverend Onesmas Kibiru
Later in the day, at 2:00 PM, Reverend Onesmas hosted a Couples Conference with the theme “Family as God Intended.” The conference saw a significant number of couples in attendance, creating a positive and engaged atmosphere. Reverend Onesmas addressed the couples, emphasizing the importance of mutual support and respect, even during challenging times. He drew wisdom from Hebrews 13:4-5, highlighting the sanctity of marriage and the need for contentment and mutual support.
Towards the end of the conference, Mrs. Kibiru, Reverend Onesmas’ wife, shared her valuable perspective on marriage. She spoke about the importance of patience, understanding, and enduring together through life’s challenges. Mrs. Kibiru emphasized that a strong marriage is built on love, trust, and unwavering support for one another. Her heartfelt words reinforced the theme of unity and mutual respect among couples. The day concluded with a prayer, blessing all the couples and reinforcing the commitment to support each other through life’s ups and downs.
